The Standard proximity reader offers outstanding reliability in an easy to install package and smart styling that blends easily with any decor. Designed to be surface mounted or attached to a standard electrical back box, with a long fly lead makes installation easy by providing easy cable terminations, and increases reliability by reducing the number of cable joins. The reader provides a neat installation choice for both new and refitted buildings and is available in charcoal grey and dark beige finish. It’s built-in sounder can be programmed to issue a local alarm when a door is left open or forced. In operation, the reader has one bi-colour LED (light emitting diode) that emits red or green light and which remains red when the reader is active. When it senses the presentation of a valid token or card the LED turns green to indicate that access has been granted. As a OneProx Reader it is compatible with all PAC controllers and is able to read both PAC and KeyPAC signals.

  The PAC 512 controls all aspects of two secure doors, with up to two card readers installed as entry and exit readers on each door. This includes support for a door strike to lock and unlock the door and a door contact to detect the doors position. Each door also has a programmable auxiliary input that may be used for alarm system integration, and an auxiliary output that enables a buzzer or strobe when security is breached or a door is left open. Each controller has a tamper input, which enables the monitoring of a cabinet door, and an override input that will release both doors.   As an alternative to the traditional door key, PAC’s proximity ID tokens are used by millions of people as an easy and reliable means of gaining access to their homes, communal entrances, places of work and other secured access points such as carpark barriers and turnstiles. PAC tokens can be programmed into any of PAC’s residential or commercial access control systems so that the user’s movement can be monitored and the building protected. The token need only be held near a PAC door reader for the code to be read (access will be granted or denied within 0.5 of a second). And of course, if a PAC token is lost or stolen, it is easily replaced. Lost tokens can be deleted from the access control system. These tokens are compatible with PAC, Easikey and OneProx readers.
